# Ceramic cup: shape, finish, daily setting

**Planning example · Not model-tested · No reference photos or generated videos included.**

Introduce the full cup, inspect its visible finish, place it in an everyday setting, then return to a clean closing composition.

## Project target

- Intended final edit: four shots × three seconds = 12 seconds, vertical 9:16.
- Generate each shot separately from your own named reference photograph. Select stable footage and trim in your editor.
- The prompts are editable suggestions. Output quality, identity preservation and supported controls vary by provider.
- No actual generation settings, attempts or outcomes are claimed in this case.

## Example subject

A plain, matte sage-green ceramic cup with one rounded handle. Replace all object details with those visible in your own photograph.

## Photograph the references

### M01 — Opening and closing

Photograph the empty cup on a warm-white tabletop against a plain wall. Use a three-quarter front view with the handle on the viewer’s right. Include the whole rim, handle and base. Leave space above and on both sides for a modest crop. Keep the camera level and the base visible.

### M02 — Surface detail

Take a separate close photograph of the real rim, outer wall and handle joint from the same side. Keep enough of the curved wall visible to identify the cup. Use the same light direction and white balance as M01. Do not create an extreme crop that hides the handle connection.

### M03 — Daily setting

Photograph the same cup beside a closed, unbranded notebook on the same table. Put the notebook behind the cup and keep them separated. Keep the cup empty, the handle on the right and the camera on the same side. Include the full cup; use only objects you own or may display.

## Continuity rules

- Use the same cup and handle side in every reference.
- Keep the tabletop color, light direction and exposure consistent.
- Treat the cup as empty throughout this example. A later filled-cup version requires new references and its own checks.
- Use only a surface/material description supported by the photograph or verified product facts.

## Four-shot plan

| Edit time | Reference | Shot | Intent |
|---|---|---|---|
| 00–03s | M01 | Full shape introduction | Make the cup silhouette and handle readable before showing details. |
| 03–06s | M02 | Rim and surface detail | Show the existing rim and visible surface without pretending to reveal unseen geometry. |
| 06–09s | M03 | Cup in a daily setting | Give context through a real reference arrangement, without animating liquid or a hand. |
| 09–12s | M01 | Clean closing frame | Leave a readable final composition for an editor-added call to action. |

Aim for about four seconds of source footage per shot only if your provider offers that setting. Otherwise generate a supported length and select a stable three-second segment. Do not force a number into the prompt and assume the model follows it.

## Shot 1: Full shape introduction

**Reference:** M01

**Start frame:** The entire cup occupies the middle half of a vertical composition. Its base is fully visible, with the handle on the right.

**End-frame review target:** A slightly tighter view still includes the whole cup, handle and base.

**Preserve:** Cup color, rim thickness, handle curve, handle attachment points and contact shadow.

**Subject action:** The cup and tabletop remain still.

**Camera:** One restrained forward camera move; no orbit.

### Copyable prompt

Animate the supplied photograph as a quiet product shot. The plain matte sage-green cup remains completely still on the warm-white tabletop. The camera moves gently forward from the existing three-quarter view, finishing with the entire rim, handle and base visible. Retain the cup’s original silhouette, color, handle attachments and contact shadow. Keep the wall and table steady, with the same soft light direction throughout. End on a settled composition.

### Separate production notes

- Upload M01 in your chosen video tool. This document does not upload or inspect your image.
- Set vertical output and a short supported duration in the provider’s controls, if available. The intended source length is about four seconds.
- Select a stable three-second segment for the edit. Leave the handle and base inside the final crop.

### Review the actual output

- Compare the silhouette at the beginning, middle and end with M01.
- Reject added handles, rim changes, drifting bases or a wobbling tabletop.

### Suggested revision if the check fails

If the shape changes, try a static camera with the same subject description. If the base exits the crop, reduce the movement or reframe M01 with more margin.

These are suggested diagnostics, not recorded failures or tested fixes.

**Optional caption to add in the editor:** “One cup, a quiet moment”

Use a real store destination before publishing; the caption does not create a store or checkout.

## Shot 2: Rim and surface detail

**Reference:** M02

**Start frame:** The rim arc and handle joint are visible in a medium close-up, with a recognizable section of the cup wall.

**End-frame review target:** The same details remain visible after a very small sideways camera drift.

**Preserve:** Rim arc, wall curvature, surface texture and handle joint.

**Subject action:** No subject movement.

**Camera:** A short lateral drift across the already visible surface.

### Copyable prompt

Animate the supplied close-up photograph of the same cup. Hold the cup still while the camera makes a very small sideways drift across the visible outer wall. Keep the rim arc and the existing handle joint readable throughout. Preserve the surface texture, color and curved profile shown in the photograph. Keep the lighting soft and consistent. Finish before the crop reaches the edge of the rim or hides the handle connection.

### Separate production notes

- Use M02 rather than asking the first shot to zoom into an unseen close-up.
- Avoid adding a moving light, rotating object or extra detail reveal to this shot.
- Cut after the opening shot on a stable moment; a direct cut keeps the shape comparison clear.

### Review the actual output

- Check that the rim remains one continuous curve.
- Check that the surface does not become a new pattern or a glossy finish.

### Suggested revision if the check fails

If details crawl, reduce the camera drift and keep the view static. If the rim bends, use a wider detail reference that shows more of the cup wall.

These are suggested diagnostics, not recorded failures or tested fixes.

**Optional caption to add in the editor:** “A closer look at the finish”

Use a real store destination before publishing; the caption does not create a store or checkout.

## Shot 3: Cup in a daily setting

**Reference:** M03

**Start frame:** Cup in the foreground, notebook behind it, with a visible gap between the objects.

**End-frame review target:** A gently tighter composition keeps the whole cup visible and the notebook in the background.

**Preserve:** Cup size relative to the notebook, handle side, object separation and tabletop contact.

**Subject action:** Both objects remain still.

**Camera:** A modest push toward the cup from the existing view.

### Copyable prompt

Animate the supplied tabletop photograph. The same plain sage-green cup stays still in front of the closed notebook. The camera moves gently toward the cup while retaining the complete handle and base. Keep the notebook closed and behind the cup, with the original gap between the objects. Preserve the empty rim, cup proportions, tabletop contact and soft background. End with the cup as the clear foreground subject.

### Separate production notes

- Use the arrangement actually shown in M03. Remove the notebook wording if it is absent.
- Do not add steam, pouring or a hand to this reference-only example.
- Keep the shot’s visible cup size close to the closing shot to make the next cut easy to read.

### Review the actual output

- Check that the cup and notebook never merge.
- Check that no liquid, writing or extra props appear.

### Suggested revision if the check fails

If the objects merge, increase their physical separation and retake M03. If the tool adds steam, remove drink-related words and retain “empty cup” in the prompt.

These are suggested diagnostics, not recorded failures or tested fixes.

**Optional caption to add in the editor:** “A place on your desk”

Use a real store destination before publishing; the caption does not create a store or checkout.

## Shot 4: Clean closing frame

**Reference:** M01

**Start frame:** Return to the full cup view from M01. The cup sits below the center with empty background above.

**End-frame review target:** A nearly still full-cup frame with space above for text added in the editor.

**Preserve:** Full silhouette, existing cup color, handle position and blank background.

**Subject action:** The cup remains still.

**Camera:** Static camera with a settled ending.

### Copyable prompt

Animate the supplied photograph into a nearly still closing shot. Keep the complete sage-green cup, right-side handle and base unchanged on the warm-white tabletop. Hold the camera in the existing view. Maintain the original contact shadow and plain background. Finish with a calm, readable view of the full cup and clear space above it.

### Separate production notes

- Reuse M01 or photograph a wider version if the hero image has no text space.
- Add your real store or product name in the video editor rather than asking the model to render lettering.
- If the closing clip is unstable, use the original photograph with a small editor-applied scale move. Review the result at full size.

### Review the actual output

- Check the last frame against M01.
- Check that the planned caption does not cover the rim, handle or product.

### Suggested revision if the check fails

If the closing frame drifts, hold the reference as a still in the editor. If there is too little text space, reframe the reference instead of extending the background in the prompt.

These are suggested diagnostics, not recorded failures or tested fixes.

**Optional caption to add in the editor:** “Explore the cup in our store”

Use a real store destination before publishing; the caption does not create a store or checkout.

## Product-claim review

- Do not add microwave-safe, food-safe, dishwasher-safe or heat-retention claims unless you can substantiate them.
- Replace “sage-green” or “matte” if your real product has a different appearance.

## Record your own test
